Radionics Alarm Panel

Radionics alarm panels from Bosch Security Systems come equipped with both hardwired and wireless technology for your convenience, offering a selection of sensors. National Security Systems can assist in finding the system best suited to meet your project requirements.

Be mindful that programming a radionics alarm panel requires either an authorized code or professional help from a Radionics dealer.

D6412

The D6412 control panel comes equipped with an onboard telephone line interface and event log, and has the capacity to expand to 40 separately identifiable points; eight of which can be located directly on-board while 32 connect to multiplexed backbone trunks via wired point expansion modules and/or wireless receivers.

The system supports either DTMF or pulse dialing and features a circuit which checks phone line voltage before displaying a fault message on its LED screen if any deviations from normal are found. Furthermore, two on-board smoke detectors can also be monitored – should one of them fail or take too long to respond, then this system can send out an alarm signal that prompts alarm panel to call up to two separate destinations simultaneously (refer D6412 Program Entry Guide (P/N: 45351). For more details regarding this feature please see D6412 Program Entry Guide (P/N 45351).

The D6412 can also support group zoning, and can be configured with two on-board fire loops that can be directed toward different destinations using its programmable fire zones. Each loop supports up to 15 compatible smoke detectors (see D6412 TSN: Smoke Detector Compatibility List, P/N 25899); both loops must terminate with an EOL resistor of 2.2kohm value as their final stopper.

On-board firepoint connections include programmable time delays, exit alarm indication, and audible exit alarm outputs. Furthermore, this device can also be set to sound an audible tamper alarm when being armed or disarmed.

Other functions of the D6412 include an installer’s mode keypad and event log. Programming of this system can be done from either a D623 or D625 text command center; its on-board fire horn can also be set up to sound an alert tone when activated by alarm, tamper or user activities.

Before installing the D6412, ensure it is grounded by making an earth ground connection and closing the Installer Switch. After powering up and toggling open the Installer Switch (to prevent false alarms during initial startup and reset process), all point faults for approximately 10 seconds upon power-up will be ignored (known as soft programming).

D2212B

The D2212B is a 12 VDC control/communicator equipped with 8 hardwire zones, expandable up to 24 points via wired and RF point expansion modules, up to eight user arm/disarm codes and programmable keypad. Ideal for use with two-wire smoke detectors as well as initiating devices used in Household Fire Warning Equipment Installations (NFPA 72).

The D2212B panel is a basic supervised alarm system featuring eight alarm outputs and a programmable keypad, each capable of being programmed for burglary or fire alarms and set to operate for certain hours or times of day on an ongoing schedule. Easily monitored centrally or locally through monitoring companies; can also connect to home automation systems for door locks, lighting controls and water leak detection among many other applications.

This system utilizes a 16.5 V, 40 VA transformer as its primary power source and supplies 1.5 A of rectified DC current to its panel. Of this current, 1.0 A is reserved for internal operations while the remaining 1.5A provides continuous power to on-board points. In addition, the D2212B also features an adjustable Keyswitch prompt that can be set as “Easikey”. For programming instructions refer to D2000 Series Program Entry Guide P/N 35114

Whenever looking to upgrade an older alarm panel with modern technology, network enabled models may be ideal as you can connect it through Wi-Fi to monitor it instead of paying monthly monitoring charges. There are numerous online companies selling and monitoring these panels. If there are stickers from the original installing company left around your yard or windows from them still adhering, contact them and request that they reprogramme it – this may incur a service call fee but may save money in monthly monitoring charges! Alternatively, ask if they have something called an installers code which allows them to reset the passcode used by conventional panels.

D9412G

The D9412G 12/24 VDC security alarm system, fire alarm system and access control system is an easy system to set up for large scale commercial or residential properties. UL listed for Central Station, Local, Remote Station and Household Burglar Alarm. With four user command centers and outputs programmable via four user route groups this panel monitors alarm points for intruder or fire, provides user command centers and outputs as well as reports events via its cellular communicator to PSTN/IP networks destinations via four preprogrammed route groups.

POPIT Modules allow this system to expand up to 238 off-board points beyond its 8 on-board points, providing more control of devices and areas. Furthermore, the D9412G includes an auxiliary port which is programmable and an onboard relay for verification/reset functions – giving users more options to take control.

The primary AC power circuit utilizes a 16.5 VAC, 40 VA internally fused transformer that supplies 1.9 amps of rectified AC power to powered devices. A portion of this electricity (500mA) is reserved for internal operations while leaving 1.4 amps for powered devices to utilize. Furthermore, this panel combines this primary AC power with an emergency backup DC battery supply in case AC power should fail and function.

If the state of an area changes during an alarm, its keyswitch will open and short the arming circuit to force all faulted points into an armed state regardless of FA Bypass Max program items.

The D9412G’s cellular communication interface slot accommodates the D928 Dual Phone Line Switcher to provide two telephone lines with supervised cellular reporting. This enables it to call out even if one phone line goes down, as well as switch between both lines when sending its initial report. It may be programmed so it alternates between them automatically.

Conettix B450 Cellular Harness used by this panel allows wireless cellular radio to connect easily to its data bus. It makes mounting of the radio away from the panel much simpler, which is important as different cellphone manufacturers display signal strength differently, making it hard to predict whether a particular spot in your building will receive good cellular coverage from carrier.

9000/7000

The 9000/7000 series alarm panels provide an array of features and functions. Compatible with Radionics Readykey access control system for maximum building security, they also come equipped with LED/LCD keypads in flush mount or surface mount versions, to meet job-specific requirements or system aesthetics.

Some error conditions will display on the keypad as [ZONE(S) NOT READY] or [SUPERVISORY/TROUBLE], while pressing either menu scroll key or day monitor key will provide options of either [LEAVE] or [STAY]. If a smoke detector alarms, pressing menu scroll key again and selecting either [SMOKE RESET] or your CODE can silence it.

The master code is permanently burned into the chip of each device, so only an authorized technician can change it. To add secondary user codes at a keypad, enter your master code + User # (1 or 2) + New 4-Digit Codes; to change temporary codes simply use either [CODE] (older black keypads) or [PROGRAM] + User # (1 or 2) + New 4-Digit Codes
