Human cells, tissues and organs contain electromagnetic fields with inherently energetic signatures that are measured using technologies like MRIs and EEGs.
Nursing has a long tradition of using energy healing modalities to bring comfort and well-being to their patients. While more research should be conducted into them, most have no side effects.
Practice
Energy healing practitioners focus their work on the body’s energetic field by using breathing, presence, intention and sometimes light touch techniques. Energy healing does not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions. Practitioners of energy healing typically work alongside licensed healthcare providers rather than in place of them. Reputable professional training programs encompass an understanding of psychological boundaries, client safety concerns and ethical practice scope; methods to promote emotional balance and autonomic nervous system regulation; as well as how to recognize when clients require care beyond energy healing, as well as facilitate these experiences safely and efficiently.
Energy, known by ancient Chinese as qi and in India as prana, is the life force that flows through all living organisms to give them vitality and vitality. Traditional cultures have recognized this energy flow and often attribute illness to disruptions in its flow; modern science is validating such beliefs; researchers have measured electromagnetic signals emanating from our biofield, leading to new theories and treatments.
Energy healing modalities such as Reiki, Tai Chi, Qigong, CranioSacral Therapy and Acupuncture offer various forms of energy healing techniques to influence energy systems for positive effects. These techniques use touch, breathing and intention to influence them positively – often combined with other therapeutic modalities for maximum impact.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an energy healing modality widely practiced today. To utilize EFT effectively and release tension quickly, one needs only tap on specific acupressure points while repeating three statements that concern or worry them, their desired realities or feelings desired and finally saying a phrase of gratitude – such a process activates your body’s relaxation response and reduces tension levels quickly.
Other energy healing modalities include sound, crystal and breath-based practices designed to promote healthy chakra and aura systems, often combined with mindfulness meditation so clients can actively engage in their own self-healing process. A more spiritually focused energy healing modality called soul retrieval or modern shamanism offers similar assistance aimed at helping clients reclaim their incarnational path and spiritual wisdom power.
Ethics
As a healer himself, Dan understands the value of ethical awareness first-hand. He’s participated in over 100 energy healing studies at universities such as Harvard Medical School, Columbia University, Washington University and California Pacific Medical Center; working closely with researchers. Furthermore, he trains thousands of practitioners worldwide on becoming more ethically conscious so they may help bring healing and wellness to their clients’ lives.
Though energy healing is becoming increasingly popular, there remain numerous misperceptions of what energy healing entails and how best to practice it ethically. Misunderstandings about what constitutes energy healing may lead to poor client outcomes and damage reputation; even legal liability could arise as a result.
Energy healers must understand how to develop and implement a Code of Ethics which clearly delineates their boundaries, ethical standards, and professional practices. A code of ethics doesn’t need to be enforced by external bodies; rather, it serves as your internal guidebook when managing energy healing work yourself.
The Code of Ethics course offers you a comprehensive set of guidelines to assist in creating and running an energy healing practice. It identifies your scope of practice, how to interact with nurses, doctors, psychiatrists and psychotherapists–and all other professionals–to keep everyone safe, as well as client relationships, confidentiality, informed consent communication strategies and much more.
Your will gain an understanding of the many ethical dimensions of energy healing so you can consider your options and make decisions that benefit yourself and your clients. Our state-of-the-art learning management system makes studying easy; just 3-5 days should do it; upon completion you’ll receive a certificate of completion as well as eligibility to use the Ethically Aware Practitioner logo on your website.
