Alongside his colleagues, he is exploring plasma-based therapies as a potential treatment for neurodegeneration; such approaches use components from young plasma to replace damaged ones in older individuals; this has already shown promising results when applied against Alzheimer’s. Through his company Alkahest he plans on conducting clinical trials of this treatment on Alzheimer’s patients while potentially expanding it’s use on other forms of brain disorders as well.
