Reiki is a noninvasive energy healing practice that draws upon universal life energy to promote relaxation, reduce stress levels and facilitate emotional and physical healing. Reiki practitioners can tap into this source either physically through touch or remotely – practitioners have even reported success using distance Reiki sessions to promote physical healing! Reiki has been proven effective at alleviating pain, nausea, anxiety and depression. Furthermore, its practitioners report increased healing, personal growth and helping their clients manage chronic illness symptoms better.

Many hospitals are adopting Reiki therapy into their patient care programs to offer stress relief and pain reduction while simultaneously cutting treatment costs. Reiki also serves to boost staff morale while creating an excellent patient experience; many nurses and other health care providers have experienced improved feelings of wellbeing after receiving Reiki treatments themselves.

Libby Barnett is a Master Reiki teacher and counselor, working to assist her clients in achieving healing on all levels, including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. A graduate of Simmons School of Social Work with over forty years of counseling and healing practice under her belt; author of Reiki Energy Medicine: Bringing Healing Touch Into Homes Hospitals Hospices (Knopf 2004).

This book introduces Reiki’s many advantages for clinical settings, detailing how best to implement its practice in clinical environments. It covers body’s energy system as well as creating conditions favorable for healing through Reiki treatments. An ideal resource for those in health care who would like more information on this energy healing modality.

Studies conducted on patients receiving Reiki treatments have revealed dramatic decreases in symptoms such as pain, fatigue, nausea and sleep disturbances. It has also been found that Reiki treatments reduce incidences of infections and accelerate healing processes; several studies also demonstrated how Reiki treatments bolstered spleen and lymphatic systems thereby helping prevent the development of autoimmune diseases like lupus, fibromyalgia or thyroid diseases.

Reiki not only has physical and emotional advantages, but can also help lower a nurse’s burnout rate in busy hospital environments – something which may otherwise be impossible without some form of self-care tool such as Reiki – but its ease of use makes it the perfect accompaniment at any point during a shift or shift change.

Services

Reiki, an ancient energy healing therapy that is rapidly gaining recognition within health care today, is an amazingly gentle yet potency force which balances and harmonizes all aspects of body, mind, emotion and spirit. Movie Reverse Aging – How to Reverse Age a Movie Star

movie reverse aging

Few scenes in movie history rival Kurt Russell being de-aged for Guardians of the Galaxy 2. This scene took several months of work from a team of experts using professional de-aging technology.

Digital de-aging effects have become an increasingly prevalent technique used by Hollywood movies. But how exactly does it work?

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button (1999)

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is an American fantasy drama film directed by David Fincher and adapted by Eric Roth and Robin Swicord from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1922 short story with the same name. Starring Brad Pitt as Benjamin Button – an individual who appears to be ageing backwards while everyone else around him continues their lives normally – Cate Blanchett serves as his love interest during his lifetime.

The film explores time in an uncertain world marked by an inversion of traditional gender roles and racial tensions, exploring themes such as physical age and psychological life and using gaps or discrepancies as ways of creating narratives.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button stands out as an adaptation of a literary text because of its innovative use of gaps as an essential device to read its theme of reverse aging. Both in its short story form and on screen, Benjamin’s gap between physical age and psychological lives acts as a metaphor for his process of adapting.

Medovoi asserts that the film’s use of gaps mirrors that employed by Fitzgerald’s narrator to construct and then erase his memory narratives. Both parties utilize gaps to explore different issues about epistemological role of novel, its relationship to historical time etc.

This film stands out for its seamless blend of special effects and human performances. Although some critics have criticized its treatment of reverse aging too far, overall this Hollywood blockbuster with philosophical undertones stands as one of the most successful examples ever produced in its genre due to outstanding acting from all involved, particularly Cate Blanchett who delivers flawless performances as various women across her lifetime.

Gemini Man (2001)

Though the plot may now seem outdated, at the time the concept was revolutionary: an older movie star being pursued by a younger version of himself was intriguing and novel. Additionally, this may have been one of the first movies that used high-frame-rate technology (HFR) to de-age actors for an unusual look.

Early reviews lauded Gemini Man’s technological achievements; however, critics were less enthusiastic about its storyline. Will Smith plays Henry Brogan, an ex-Force Recon Marine sniper who finds himself being pursued by a younger version of himself he believes to be himself.

Young Henry (known as Junior) has been recruited by his elder self’s former employers to carry out a series of deadly hits for them. Unfortunately, when Junior realises that these operations are run by corrupt company executives he decides to turn on them and turn against his supporters.

Action sequences of Henry hunting down clones are enjoyable, yet its pace and script fall short. Junior’s revelations lack emotional punch, while dialogue often makes me cringe–especially when trying to explain them to an emotional Danny.

Even with the best efforts of both Smith and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, this film never quite manages to overcome its numerous weaknesses. Though director Ang Lee has produced several stellar movies like ‘Brokeback Mountain’, ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ and ‘The Ice Storm’ before, this one seems disappointingly dull and wasteful of an interesting idea that had great potential to bring together old and new elements; with better writing and plot development it could have become an engaging example of “old meets new”. Instead it becomes just another big budget sci-fi thriller worth watching just because of special effects alone.

The Irishman (2006)

Martin Scorsese returns to mob violence with an intriguing character-driven drama that explores an intimate tale of loyalty and betrayal spanning midcentury American history.

At this point, however, the movie hasn’t generated as much of a stir due to its high-octane set pieces or De Niro and Pesci’s reunion as ILM’s de-aging technology, which renders septuagenarian characters as younger versions of themselves in flashback sequences of the film.

Effective technique used effectively throughout this film. As you watch, it becomes less surprising that older actors appear as their younger selves; over time you lose track of makeup effects taking place; though initially De Niro seems somewhat strange when attacking store clerks in some early scenes.

Scorsese utilized this revolutionary technology in order to explore Sheeran’s progression from Hoffa’s trusted confidant to murderous accomplice during its runtime. This allows him to explore Sheeran’s transition and is therefore key in providing an arc for Sheeran that takes up much of its runtime.

This film offers a dense narrative, with many themes and events that require multiple viewings to fully appreciate. Thanks to an outstanding cast and innovative technological approaches, this marks another high point in one of cinema’s most revered directors’ long and distinguished career.

Tron: Legacy (1982)

The original Tron was an innovative digital world decades ahead of its time, featuring a dreamscape Netscape filled with blacks and blues featuring disc-duels between “programs” and neon-lit “discs.” While enjoyable and captivating today, its sequel can be frustrating: an ultimately humorless search through the computer “grid” by son in search of digitally disembodied father (accompanied by some serious script and direction issues).

As with many sci-fi films from the ’80s, Tron isn’t as child friendly as it initially appears. The plot echoes The Flintstones: inside computers live little guys who work as programs; this might have seemed plausible to audiences of its day but is less so today. Additionally, some scenes contain rather awkward dialogue (such as Sam’s mother being murdered and viewing video footage of Sam) which make this film less than kid-friendly.

Jeff Bridges shines as Clu in this movie and looks fantastic throughout, yet most of the supporting cast falls flat and the editing and title cards strain too hard to tell the tale. Home footage becomes distracting and comically an elaborate light cycle race takes place atop an old discotheque ruins!

The Blu-ray restoration of this film is truly outstanding, looking as good as when it first hit theaters. This was an ambitious undertaking with great results: families can discuss how animation and live action movies have developed over time; along with discussing advancements in computer animation technology as well as compare ’80s special effects with modern high definition visuals.

Captain Marvel (2016)

Carol Danvers is the first female Captain Marvel. An Air Force pilot and Kree-human hybrid, she possesses superhuman strength, flight, laser vision, telekinesis and has an intense connection to the Tesseract which gave her her powers following exposure during an experiment. Carol currently works with Nick Fury and Maria Rambeau to aid the Avengers against an alternate version of Thanos as part of a fight back strategy following The Snap.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s film was directed from a screenplay written with Geneva Robertson-Dworet by them and stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Clark Gregg, Djimon Hounsou Lee Pace Lashana Lynch Annette Bening as part of its cast. It became the first female-led superhero movie ever to surpass $1 billion worldwide during its theatrical run.

Lola VFX had already made their mark de-aging actors for Marvel Cinematic Universe films by the time of Captain Marvel, but they really raised their game for this one. To create the flashback sequence where we see Star-Lord as a younger boy with his mother, Lola needed to remove over three decades from Kurt Russell’s face through various techniques including body doubles and months of makeup/hair work.

This film is also notable as being the first Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie to include a transgender lead character as part of its narrative and theme of female empowerment for young women. Producers took a risk with this decision but ultimately, it proved one of the biggest successes for a female-led film in comic book history.

Radionics D620 Keypad

radionics d620 keypad

New D55 Plexiglass Keypad Stand for use with Radionics Bosch horizontal style keypads allows them to be placed directly onto a desktop and includes both a pigtail and wiring harness for convenient wiring harness installation in D6112 series control panels.

Command 4 is a standard keypad feature that acknowledges trouble conditions, stops beeping keypads, and initiates code changes on some systems (for more details please consult your burglar alarm manual). Other commands may vary according to individual models.

Functions

Radionics alarm panels used a standard set of commands for arming and disarming, consistent across models and keypads. While these commands remain active on older systems, their presence has diminished on more modern systems that utilize numbered command keys instead.

Toggle Watch Mode: Enabling this mode activates the “watch” function which causes all keypads (depending on your model) to emit an audible short tone when any perimeter zone fault occurs, alerting users and central stations of any issues as well as sending a fire panic signal if enabled if reporting home alarm monitoring systems.

This button can be found on older black keypads like D520 and D636A and allows the user to bypass specific zones when arming their alarm system. In order to do this, they must enter their six-digit code before selecting which zone(s) to bypass before pressing [BYPASS]. This feature acts as a security measure designed to avoid false alarms due to accidental disarming of panel or keypad.

Change Code: Accesses the panel programming menus and allows the user to modify their master code. This must be performed by an accredited technician and once service mode has been activated.

Silence Smokes: Resets the 2-wire smoke detector loop by momentarily disabling power to it – this is the only effective way of resetting an activated detector.

Arm All On (Perimeter and Interior Protection Activated): This arming mode is the standard setting on Radionics alarm systems, arming it both with exit/entry delays as well as arming with perimeter/interior protection activated.

Keypad layout

A keypad layout defines how alphanumeric keys and function keys are organized on a keyboard. Usually divided into rows with letters on one row and numbers on another, space bars separate these rows as dead keys represent them – this arrangement also specifies which characters can be reached with AltGr and which require multiple combinations of keys for accessing.

Many alarm systems include built-in ways of alerting their user of problems by beeping through the keypad(s). While this can be distracting at night, pressing a special key on your keypad can halt this beeping temporarily and give you enough time to assess what the source of concern might be.

LED display

Radionics security systems traditionally used a set of standard “Commands” to control arming and disarming functions as well as programming options and panic alarms. While each model had slightly different commands, their general format remained constant; for instance, Command 4 is still used to acknowledge trouble conditions as well as silence beeping keypads; this comes in particularly handy when someone forgets their code and the system starts beeping at them in the middle of the night!

Older systems allow Commands 1-6 to set the watch point status. This setting determines how the panel arming/disarming and whether exit/entry delays are activated. To change these settings, press Master Code + [USER #] (1-6) + new 4-digit code combination or change them using keypad by pressing [CODE] once with old code followed by twice with the new one.

The display at the keypad provides the current status of your system and zone status using the * button. When “System OK” appears on screen, all points have been closed and are ready to arm; when “Not Ready to Arm” does so instead, check that all doors and windows are properly shut before trying again to arm. Furthermore, using Selective Zone Shunting instructions from your panel manual you may also shunt or bypass certain zones via keypad control.

Pressing the 9 key will arm your system without delay; using the 0 key you can arm Part On with exit and entry delays – perfect if you are leaving town and don’t want anyone else accessing your home while you are gone.

Power requirements

Radionics d620 Keypad requires AC power and connection to a panel; compatible with D6112 series panels as well as D630 and D636 panels. When requested, a wiring harness (pigtail) is included with this keypad, connecting directly with serial data so as to ensure only relevant commands reach your panel and no other user’s data reaches it.

Older Radionics systems used a set of “Commands” to perform arming, disarming, and other functions. Newer Alarm panels utilize different formats; please consult your panel manual for a list of available commands.

Peter Gariaev and the Phantom DNA

Dr Peter Gariaev and a team of Russian scientists (Biophysicists, Linguists, Molecular Biologists and Embryologists) took an expansive view of human genome compared to Western science. Their research proved that seemingly irrelevant DNA – often described as junk DNA by western scientists – actually contains valuable holographic information that carries important evolutionary legacy.

They demonstrated that laser light can be used to capture and transmit these holograms, and even reconfigure them to transform living cells into other organisms.

Genetics

Pjotr Garjajev and his colleagues may have made history when they discovered that DNA’s arrangement of elementary bases resembled that of languages, thus revolutionising our perceptions of genetics and enabling modern wave genetics for cancer, HIV, aids and slowing aging processes.

Scientists also discovered that DNA contains parts not used for encoding genes – known as “silent” DNA – which could serve figurative language functions, according to Garjajev’s team. They discovered that when modulated with laser radiation, certain parts of DNA transmit information along a light beam.

Information transfer utilizing quantum nonlocality/teleportation occurs by way of vibration response patterns on DNA molecules that are affected by modulating laser light frequency samples, with these patterns showing response patterns triggered by frequency samples of modulating laser light frequencies. Such vibrational responses of DNA have proven extremely stable over time and may store information for an extended period. This discovery conforms with Gariaev group theory which states that DNA contains two antiparallel (phase conjugate) helices capable of housing three spatial-dimensional holographic data of organisms as demonstrated through experiments conducted above.

Reproduction

In 1985, Russian scientist Peter Gariaev made an astounding discovery: when passing light through DNA leaves a light beam behind, leaving behind a holographic imprint called Phantom DNA that could be transferred up to 20 kilometers and caused living cells to heal themselves. Furthermore, he demonstrated how human’s Holographic DNA could also be read and transmitted for influence over cell metabolism, regeneration or even genetic expression changes.

His research led him to conclude that living chromosomes function similarly to holographic computers and can be affected by sound, electromagnetic radiation and language. With his team’s help they modulated specific linguistic frequencies onto radio and laser technology to successfully heal damaged DNA strands and reverse effects of aging in frog embryos – as well as showing diseased pancreases can resurface while missing adult teeth in humans can rebecome visible again.

Kirlian photography demonstrates the holographic nature of DNA by recording electrical energy fields around eggs, plant seedlings or people that take shape according to their adult bodies. According to Gariaev‘s work at Heartmath Institute’s photon correlation spectrometer device, Gariaev found these energy fields contain torsion fields associated with DNA which are affected by water presence, sleep patterns, illness progression, cancer development as well as diurnal, lunar and annual cycles.

Gariaev conducted his experiment by sending low-powered laser light through Salamander eggs and redirecting it through Frog eggs, with astounding results. Salamander eggs turned into salamanders which then developed into adults that reproduced normally, reproducing offspring of their own. Gariaev and his team repeated the experiment using seeds killed by Chernobyl nuclear accident; seeds exposed to specific algorithm-generated messages flourished and thrived, while those exposed to random words continued their downward progression toward death.

Gariaev‘s work was expanded by American colleagues Dr. William Poponin and Grazyna Fosar who used similar technology. These researchers successfully transformed frog eggs back into Salamander eggs, as well as revive plants killed by radiation exposure.

Fibromyalgia Alternative Therapies

alternative therapies for fibromyalgia pain

Fibromyalgia patients frequently turn to complementary therapies in addition to traditional pain medicines for relief; however, many of these have no scientific backing and may actually do more harm than good.

But some treatments exist; acupuncture, massage therapy and chiropractic care offer hope in managing fibromyalgia symptoms without resorting to medications like duloxetine (Cymbalta) or milnacipran (Savella). Antidepressants like Cymbalta may help, as can antidepressant medicines like Duloxetine (Cymbalta), while muscle relaxants like Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) could reduce pain and fatigue as well.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture works to relieve pain and improve sleep by using extremely fine needles to puncture certain points on the body with needle punctures, increasing blood levels of substances that decrease pain while simultaneously decreasing those that intensify it. After about eight weekly 30-minute sessions, results should become visible; many health insurance plans cover this treatment option for fibromyalgia patients.

Other alternative therapies include nutrient-rich diets, vitamin supplements and massage therapy as complementary and alternative medicine treatments. A small study discovered that patients taking both traditional medications as well as complementary and alternative medicines experienced greater quality of life than those only using traditional medication alone.

Acupuncture has long been touted as one of the best alternative treatments for fibromyalgia, showing great promise in relieving pain. A small study by Mayo Clinic demonstrated how acupuncture improved stiffness and fatigue for those living with the disorder; yet more research must be completed before it can be recommended as an effective remedy.

Studies have also demonstrated the benefits of acupuncture on stress and depression reduction, while in a large survey of fibromyalgia patients, those who utilized alternative medicines reported less pain and better overall functioning than those only taking prescription or over-the-counter medications.

People living with fibromyalgia should exercise caution when taking supplements containing capsaicin – the substance found in chili peppers that makes them spicy – since topical applications may cause irritation, with too much use leading to burning sensations on the skin. Over-the-counter drugs like acetaminophen or ibuprofen should also be avoided, and meditation and relaxation techniques such as yoga, Tai Chi or biofeedback have been linked with improving symptoms relief.

Massage therapy

Massage therapy entails manipulating soft tissues of the body with kneading, tapping and circular motions to increase blood flow to muscles while stimulating production of natural painkillers like serotonin and dopamine, helping relieve anxiety and depression symptoms. For maximum benefits it’s essential that you find a therapist experienced at treating fibromyalgia – try 15-minute sessions initially, with medium pressure on neck region for maximum effect; most people see improvements within three treatments.

Acupuncture, an ancient Chinese practice of stimulating specific points on the body to increase energy flow, can be administered either manually with needles or with electrical current passing through them (known as electroacupuncture). A 2013 double-blind trial demonstrated its benefits by significantly reducing tender points and improving quality of life among fibromyalgia patients.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage, commonly referred to as MLD, can be performed by you at home or by a licensed practitioner, making it a wonderful alternative therapy for Fibromyalgia as it can reduce symptoms while helping prevent the development of lymphedema – a buildup of fluid that leads to chronic swelling in arms or legs.

MLD may also help breast cancer survivors manage fibromyalgia symptoms through MLD therapy. According to a 2021 study, it can reduce severity as well as anxiety, depression, fatigue and sleep disturbances in these survivors.

Many people with fibromyalgia struggle with managing stress and depression. Cognitive behavioral therapy may help improve your ability to cope with fibromyalgia by changing how you think about pain and stress. You could also try meditation, yoga or Tai Chi for stress reduction and relaxation purposes.

Aromatherapy

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition affecting muscles and soft tissues, as well as fatigue, headaches and sleep problems (insomnia or hypersomnia). Affecting 4 million adults across the US – more women than men are living with this illness – there are numerous non-drug treatment methods available to them to alleviate its symptoms. Living with this mysterious illness may be challenging at first but many successful ways are available for treating it effectively without resorting to medications.

Acupuncture is an alternative treatment option for the pain associated with fibromyalgia that involves inserting needles at specific points on the body. Acupuncture has been proven to relieve symptoms associated with this disorder such as pain, anxiety and depression while improving mood and decreasing muscle spasms; however more research needs to be conducted in this field in order to confirm its efficacy.

Aromatherapy is another alternative treatment used to relieve the discomfort caused by fibromyalgia pain, using essential oils as inhalations or topical application of aromatherapy scents to reduce discomfort. Aromatherapy may be particularly useful for people who cannot tolerate needles or take medications; additionally, aromatherapy can be combined with other therapies for enhanced results.

Alternate treatments for fibromyalgia include herbal medicine and physical exercise. According to studies, herbal medication has been shown to significantly decrease pain levels while improving quality of life for people living with fibromyalgia. Some herbs can have sedative properties while others stimulate the brain and increase energy levels.

Some people use meditation and yoga to manage fibromyalgia. Tai chi, an ancient Chinese practice combining controlled movements with meditation and breathing techniques, may also provide some relief; however, most of these treatments have only been researched in small studies, so they should always first consult their physician.

Tai Chi

Fibromyalgia symptoms include aching, stabbing or stabbing pain in muscles and joints as well as fatigue, sleep issues and emotional distress. While its exact cause remains unknown, standard medications only provide temporary relief and have potentially harmful side effects; thus prompting patients to seek alternative therapies in order to alleviate pain associated with this disorder.

Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese mind-body exercise involving slow, fluid movements, can be described as “moving meditation.” You can practice it standing or seated to reduce stress and manage symptoms associated with fibromyalgia according to research.

One study demonstrated that participants taking 18 Tai Chi classes experienced less back pain than those in the control group and noted improvement in mood, fatigue and functioning. According to Arthritis Care & Research journal, another research paper concluded that Tai Chi may help lessen back pain intensity.

Other alternatives to medication for fibromyalgia include massage therapy and hot/cold treatments. Heat from sources such as heating pads or warm baths may help ease pain by increasing circulation to the area while cooling therapies, like ice packs, may ease muscle spasms and improve flexibility.

Therapeutic massage involves manipulating soft tissues of the body using techniques such as kneading and tapping, to reduce inflammation and stimulate production of pain-killing chemicals such as endorphins. Furthermore, mindfulness approaches such as meditation and deep breathing may help relieve stress-related triggers for fibromyalgia symptoms; regular spa treatments utilizing mineral waters from Dead Sea could provide further relief.

Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy (OT) is a healthcare profession that assists those recovering from injuries or illnesses to return to work or leisure activities more quickly and reduce pain while improving quality of life and independence. Through physical, mental, emotional and social approaches OT helps individuals manage symptoms associated with fibromyalgia more effectively and avoid recurrence – multidisciplinary specialists in pain management, nutrition and exercise provide tailored plans for individual patients.

No cure exists for fibromyalgia, yet effective treatments such as acupuncture, massage therapy and chiropractic care offer hope in managing symptoms without resorting to drugs.

Acupuncture involves placing thin needles at specific points on the body in order to stimulate blood flow and release natural painkillers, using ancient Chinese practices. Acupuncture has been practiced since antiquity as an approach to healing that can balance one’s energy while alleviating anxiety and depression; some research even suggests it as a potential treatment option for fibromyalgia patients.

Massage therapy entails manipulating soft tissues to relieve stiffness and tension, helping improve sleep, mood and quality of life in those suffering from fibromyalgia. Massage also improves muscle function which may assist with other symptoms associated with this disorder such as fatigue and cognitive difficulties.

Exercise should be part of any fibromyalgia treatment plan. Tai chi and yoga are gentle practices that combine breathing with movement; both have been shown to reduce symptoms in a small study. Other forms of exercise such as swimming, walking and cycling have also proven successful. Dietary changes may also help ease symptoms: eating plenty of vegetables, fruit and protein as well as supplementing with magnesium, vitamin D or fish oil could be effective solutions.
