Variants were identified in three canine genes MTMR2 (which encodes for a protein that regulates cell cycle progression), MPZ (which codes for an intracellular signaling complex), and SH3TC2 (which encodes for myelination-related proteins); SH3TC2 variants are responsible for all four cases of HPN observed in this population.

Identification of this disease variant was assisted by the discovery that its mutation is linked with slow cell cycle progression, as shown by only a small proportion of affected GRs taking up BrdU in an alligator pulse-chase experiment while most proliferated rapidly after surgery (Wu et al., 2013).

VCFtools 0.1.16 [44] identified a 12 SNP haplotype comprising of SH3TC2 nonsense variant in Case 4, comprising of 60,684,633 to 60,859,652. This haplotype was homozygous for three of four affected dogs and shared heterozygously by 80 additional ones; one such shared the haplotype with BseGI enzyme for testing purposes and Sanger sequencing showed it was actually wild type for this nonsense variant.

Regeneration of a Diabetic Foot

Researchers were able to use the method of linguistic wave genetics that they had developed themselves to heal a diabetic foot ulcer. This experiment demonstrated it is possible to generate new healthy quantum DNA information and transfer it directly into animal cells, altering cell structures and improving biological functions for greater effect. Diabetes Foot Ulcers (DFUs) can be an incapacitating complication of diabetes that drastically diminishes quality of life for patients and may result in limb amputation. Furthermore, healing processes tend to be slow and recurrent so finding methods of speeding up healing time as well as preventing new DFUs is critical to success.

DFUs occur due to a loss of blood supply, leading to tissue necrosis and infection. Early diagnosis and treatment are key in order to minimize the risk of amputation – this can be accomplished by testing skin sensitivity to pain as well as using foot pressure sensors.

The amphibian Xenopus laevis is one of the most commonly utilized models for vertebrate embryonic development, especially neural induction. With large and clear embryos that enable observation of gross phenotypes easily, in situ hybridization and lineage tracing techniques have been utilized to identify key genes responsible for dorsal (including neural) induction.

Researchers have used these techniques to build an extensive DNA library from Xenopus embryos, screening large numbers of gene pools for genes that rescue ventral phenotype after UV-irradiation. This has allowed researchers to identify many of the genes responsible for dorsal induction and investigate their properties through iterative fractionation and testing of cDNA libraries (De Robertis et al. 2000; Gurdon and Hopwood 2000).

Peter Gariaev of Russia made one of the greatest breakthroughs in wavegenetics through genetic linguistics studies. While investigating this cutting-edge branch of semiotics called genetic linguistics, Gariaev discovered that potential DNA text conformed to standard grammar and usage rules almost identical to human languages. Additionally, when exposed to specific frequencies DNA phantoms acted like “voices,” transmitting information patterns between DNA samples.
