What is Frequency Specific Microcurrent Therapy?

Each tissue type in the body produces electromagnetic energy with specific frequencies that resonate at unique resonance. FSM utilizes various frequencies to stimulate these resonances in order to promote healing and alleviate pain.

FSM stands apart from TENS devices by increasing natural cellular energy of Adenosine Triphosphate while at the same time decreasing production of proinflammatory cytokines, thus speeding up your body’s natural ability to heal itself.

What is FSM?

Frequency specific microcurrent (FSM) is an advanced technology that uses electrical currents to stimulate specific areas of your body to encourage cell regeneration, ultimately producing more ATP (energy for your body).

Rejuvenate your whole body & balance your health without medications - now remotely!

FSM therapy promotes faster healing of damaged tissues, increases range of motion and can also reduce pain while improving function and decreasing muscle spasms. FSM is safe, noninvasive and effective.

A typical FSM session involves relaxing in a recliner or on a massage table with wet towels or conductive pads applied directly onto the areas to be treated, then choosing frequencies to address specific symptoms of your body condition. A typical session typically lasts one hour. Unlike TENS devices, FSM treatments are virtually painless with only faint vibration sensations due to endorphin release resulting from treatment; many clients have reported feeling relaxed enough during sessions that they even fell asleep during them!

FSM not only stimulates your natural healing processes, but it has another significant benefit: dramatically increasing ATP (cellular energy production). This boost in energy helps damaged nerves, muscles and joints heal more rapidly.

FSM treatments often result in immediate and long-lasting relief for chronic conditions, provided proper care is given to the treated area.

FSM combined with acupuncture has proved beneficial to several wounded warriors, helping to address pain and behavioral-health concerns more efficiently than expected by medical professionals. One such patient experienced less pain, mental sluggishness and brain-fog symptoms after just several treatments of FSM plus acupuncture combined together.

FSM and acupuncture come together powerfully as evidenced by one veteran who was able to overcome his PTSD, depression, anger and anxiety through just several sessions combined of FSM with acupuncture. Blood tests following these sessions showed decreased Interleukin 4, Interleukin 6 and Substance P levels as well as an increase in Beta Endorphin levels – testaments to FSM’s efficacy!

How does FSM work?

FSM is a noninvasive, painless treatment using micro currents to improve cell function. ATP production increases while at the same time decreasing inflammatory cytokines that cause pain and inflammation are reduced significantly.

Tissue restructuring techniques such as massage can also help alter tissue structure by softening scar tissue, increasing circulation, and flushing out long-stored waste products from tissues. A session may lead to an intense detoxification reaction; in such instances it’s wise to consume plenty of fluids as part of this process.

FSM operates under the theory that every tissue and organ has a unique resonant frequency range where they operate, which when met by specific frequencies can promote healing by stimulating cell regeneration. Frequencies are applied sequentially in order to target specific areas of the body according to individual conditions; their sequence varies accordingly.

During a session, clients sit or lie comfortably on a recliner or massage table while wet towels or conductive pads are placed over their body to conduct current. Sessions generally last an hour or longer and feel similar to a mild tingle or vibration – many clients even sleep soundly during these sessions!

Once the correct frequency combinations are identified, results are usually immediate and dramatic. Tissue all over the body usually softens within seconds – typically signifying either an alteration in systemic muscle tone or reduced localized tightness. Any stubborn areas may need more frequency selection or possibly conductive materials placement for maximum benefit.

Studies have demonstrated the efficacy of FSM to significantly reduce inflammation and boost ATP levels, helping reduce damage done in chronic injuries and diseases while relieving pain from chronic illnesses like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, concussions, PTSD depression. FSM may help treat many pain conditions including those related to chronic illness such as depression.

FSM can be used alone or combined with acupuncture for maximum effectiveness. When combined, however, its results tend to be more dramatic; this is likely due to acupuncture points being connected directly to muscles, tendons and ligaments for improved energy transference.

What are the benefits of FSM?

FSM uses electrical pulses to stimulate and restore your body’s natural electrical rhythms that have become disjointed from injury, illness or trauma. FSM treatment has proven itself an effective non-invasive painless option that has helped many who are experiencing joint, muscle or nerve injuries find relief quickly and painlessly. FSM works well alongside physical therapy or acupuncture treatments as a complement.

FSM therapy’s primary advantage lies in its ability to decrease inflammation and accelerate healing processes, by increasing ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the energy source utilized by cells for their functioning. An increase in ATP promotes cell repair, speeding recovery times and shortening healing periods for injured areas.

FSM therapy can also be used to combat infections and promote healing of damaged areas in the body, with maximum effect when performed within four hours of an injury occurring.

FSM therapy also helps break down and remove scar tissue, helping patients regain range of motion without discomfort and speed up recovery time following surgeries or sports injuries. When scar tissue forms it forms adhesions which limit range of motion as well as cause pain; FSM can release these adhesions so patients can move freely again; this therapy is especially useful in speeding recovery from surgeries or sports injuries.

FSM has proven its effectiveness at both reducing inflammation and aiding the body’s natural healing processes, as well as in relieving stress. According to one study, participants who underwent six sessions of FSM experienced a substantial drop in their perceived levels of stress.

Dr Young has seen extraordinary results using FSM to treat professional athletes injured through trauma and surgeries, as well as chronic conditions that don’t respond to other forms of treatments.

Dr Young can perform an initial evaluation to ascertain if FSM will help, including an assessment, taking your medical history, and discussing potential FSM treatment plans with you. We suggest drinking at least a quart of water two hours prior to your appointment as the body acts as conductor of microcurrents; to get maximum effectiveness from FSM treatments.

Who is a good candidate for FSM?

FSM may help people suffering from physical injuries, chronic stress or anxiety disorders or emotional traumas find relief through FSM. FSM uses low-intensity microampere-level electrical stimulation delivered through pairs of frequencies applied using combinations of conductive graphite gloves, warm moistened towels and gel electrode patches; its frequencies stimulate tissue softening similar to what has been achieved with successful acupuncture or other energy-based modalities.

Each type of tissue in the body produces electromagnetic energy and resonates at its own frequency. FSM’s matching frequencies can match this resonance to disrupt disorganized cell structure, helping it reorganize itself and heal itself by counteracting negative electrochemical reactions that cause pain, inflammation, or disruption of energy production in cells.

FSM treatment is noninvasive and quick. Clients remain fully clothed throughout treatment, returning immediately afterwards without downtime or side effects. Before each session it is highly advised that individuals hydrate well by drinking 16-24oz of water prior to arriving for an appointment – written aftercare instructions will also be provided post treatment.

An RCT conducted to compare the efficacy of FSM and relaxation therapies on somatic symptoms in patients found that both treatments had similar impacts, though FSM proved more successful after six sessions than relaxation. As part of this pilot RCT, clinically meaningful changes in satisfaction with life were observed among both groups at T1; thus allowing future definitive RCTs to assess whether FSM can indeed decrease somatic stress-related symptoms.

FSM may serve as a valuable adjunct therapy when combined with active rehabilitation protocols for active military members, especially when used alongside acupuncture. As evidenced in this case series, pairing them together has resulted in additional symptom reduction when treating pain, PTSD and associated conditions among wounded warriors.

As FSM is still relatively new technology, there is limited research demonstrating its benefits when combined with acupuncture. However, this case series shows how adding FSM into a patient’s treatment regime can result in significant reduction in symptoms while shortening duration of care.
