Installation
Relays can be used to perform various functions on the D8112 control communicator board by plugging them into DIP (Dual IN-line Pin) sockets located there, making sure that their two leg side is on the left and three leg side on the right; failure to do this could render them nonfunctional and cause time testing and one year warranty issues. Relays come time tested.

D1252A Alpha Command Module designed for 4012, 8012 and D8112 Control panels is equipped with an eight digit alphanumeric display on its flush-mount brass front panel and comes complete with instructions and pigtail wiring harness.
GV2 POPIT modules can be integrated seamlessly into existing D8112 panel dipswitch settings provided that Horizontal Mode=Yes or Horizontal Mode=No is set. As different tables may be utilized depending on which setting is selected, prior to making any conversion decisions. POPEX interface modules may also work in D8112 panels but must have the same date code; all other GV2 modules will still function as add ons.
Communication
The Radionics D8112 connects with its central station via cellular loop, sending and receiving alarm signals as well as user ID codes for door releases, sending battery status updates to enable verification of panel status, as well as being capable of detecting and communicating with D113 battery lead supervision module – maintaining system integrity by keeping lines of communication clear between panel and central station.
The Radionics D8112 can be programmed to communicate in either Modem II or BFSK formats through its MAIN->PRIMARYCENTRALSTATION->CS prompt. With Modem II mode selected (using 4 digit account numbers), and 6 with BFSK mode selected (3-digit account numbers).
