What is MeRT?

Your child will sit comfortably in a chair as our neurotechnician applies the TMS coil to his or her head, producing magnetic impulses for 6-8 seconds at a time, producing tapping sensations on their scalp without other side effects or complications. Treatment sessions take about 45 minutes each time and should take place five times weekly over six weeks for best results.
MeRT is FDA-approved to treat depression and OCD; however, its effects have also been used off-label for other conditions including PTSD, ADHD, TBI, Autism Spectrum Disorder and learning disorders.
