Furthermore, cupping is often utilized as part of comprehensive pain management plans. This method works by creating a vacuum with heated cups that are placed over areas that need healing on your body, such as an issue like stress or tension relief. Suction from these heated cups helps remove toxins while increasing blood flow to help heal wounds faster. In addition, its power to relieve tension could even help you sleep better! Cupping therapy has been used for millennia and was once popular in Europe. Unfortunately, not much research exists to support its efficacy; however, one recent study suggests it might help with treating herpes zoster and its related pain.

Cupping therapy works through various mechanisms. Seventeen outcomes were reported across seven studies; results demonstrated dry cupping was effective at treating pain and reduced range of motion while having low to moderate quality evidence supporting other outcomes.

Cupping is an ancient practice renowned across many cultures and used to treat various conditions.
