Research on Distant Healing

Recent years have witnessed an explosion of research on distant healing. While most studies remain inconclusive, several have produced promising results.

Studies on spiritual healing can be difficult to design and conduct. They should nevertheless follow the same rigorous standards applied to trials of medical treatments – including randomization, blinding and providing meaningful outcome measures.

Methods

Human beings have for centuries engaged in various distant healing practices, from prayers and compassionate intention meditations, to scientific investigation of distant healing techniques such as prayer. While results from such research vary and questions still exist about how they work, this dissertation seeks to address such concerns by creating an comprehensive model of distant healing that can guide future research efforts.

Distant healing works on the principle that energy can travel over distances. Results

Randolph Byrd conducted the first-ever study to demonstrate whether distant healing had any measurable effect in the 1980s by dividing 393 heart patients into two groups – those receiving prayers outside the hospital were less likely to need medications and experienced complications than those who hadn’t been healed through distant prayer, prompting further study on both quantitative and qualitative dimensions of distant healing. This work inspired further quantitative and qualitative investigation of distant healing.

Quantitative experiments have produced mixed results, with some studies showing small positive impacts and others none. There is also considerable heterogeneity among studies, making a meta-analysis difficult.

Researchers conducted one experiment using biofeedback to track physiological changes in participants. Instead of showing this information directly to them, however, researchers used electronic channels to electronically send it off to another person at a distance who then relayed it back via computer screen to participants – doing this so that participants wouldn’t know whether their healer was having an influence at the time of measurements – an approach known as remote biofeedback.

Scientists conducted a randomised controlled trial to investigate the role of expectancy in distant healing. Their experiment consisted of three conditions – placebo, blinded healing and controlled healing conditions where participants knew they were being treated – each having short “influence” periods where healers focused solely on one participant, followed by short non-influeced periods that allowed participants to compare skin conductivity between these periods and non-influence periods.

Conclusions

As science has explored distant healing, its results have been mixed. Most studies indicate a positive outcome while there have been studies which failed to show an impact. There have also been cases in which no effect was noticed and one showed an adverse reaction due to treatment. Research into distant healing continues at several major medical centers such as Mind/Body Medical Institute of Chestnut Hill Massachusetts; Duke University Medical Center; California Pacific Medical Center (in San Francisco); National Institutes of Health has invested approximately $2.2 Million on studies regarding distant healing and intercessory prayer research since 2000.

A central finding was that patients receiving distant healing had less chronic fatigue than those who did not, with most of this benefit likely attributable to expectation rather than actual healing taking place – similar to placebo effects found elsewhere.

Although research into distant healing has yielded mixed results, many researchers still hold firm to its efficacy. These scientists, known as belief healers or “energy channelers,” believe that energy from humans can reach another person even when they are physically absent from them. Their belief is supported by quantum biology – an area of research which seeks to explain how biological organisms interact below physical, biochemical/neurological levels i.e. at subatomic or even atomic levels.

Study conducted by IONS and California Pacific involved randomly assigning patients suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome either distant healing from trained healers, or no treatment at all as control group members were monitored for changes in collagen deposition in surrogate wounds and self-report measures; after six months those who received distant healing showed more improvement compared to those in control group.

Many are familiar with distant or energy healing. How to use

Once Spooky2 is downloaded and installed on your computer, double-click its shortcut to launch it. A main window with three tabs – Settings, System and Internet – will appear allowing you to set preferences for your Spooky2 experience. Choose which tab best matches what you would like.

Each red button on your rig represents and controls a physical generator; up to 127 generators may be connected and operated within Spooky2. On this tab you can view their generator count and channel status for each one; the GC represents how many were found at launch time, RE displays their last response received and RFID indicates if any generator has RFID tags attached to them.

The Programs tab houses frequencies that address different pathogens and conditions. A full listing can be found in the Spooky2 manual, but can also be downloaded here.

These frequencies can help sanitise water, clear food and supplements, kill parasites and other bugs, or act as biofeedback tools for yourself or others. Some frequencies are so powerful they may even help cure cancer (with prior informed consent required)!

Searching frequencies easily using the search button. Once you find one that speaks to you, using ADD allows you to save it as a User Preset Collection which can then be found under Settings in addition to being imported via CSV files.

Use the Pause and Resume buttons to easily stop and resume sequences at exactly where they left off, allowing you to take breaks while getting other things done, then resume right where they left off later. This feature is particularly helpful when running long programs such as overnight Rife Plasma presets for Morgellons Disease treatment as well as several other health conditions. You may also use it for testing purposes or recording sessions for analysis.

Frequency sets

Frequency sets are groups of frequencies designed to treat specific diseases or conditions. You can download frequency sets from the internet or create them yourself using Spooky2. Spooky2 can help you run a frequency set easily. Search functions within software help users quickly locate frequencies or programs by simply typing the name of a disease or symptom into its searching box. Intelligent searching features within this software allow it to differentiate between similar disease names appearing in different languages; for example back pain can have multiple names across languages like Japanese. How Does Rife Therapy Work?

Frequency therapy offers an integrative solution to health and wellbeing. A simple cathode ray tube consists of a glass chamber fitted with electrodes on either end. When voltage is applied between these ends, electrons in the glass emit a blueish purple glow when attracted by positively charged plates and repelled by negatively charged ones. Early experiments using Crookes tubes suggested that cathode rays consisted of particles; later however it was found out these tubes were inadequately evacuated, leading to accumulations of surface charge which obscured their electric field and prevented its transmission through. Arthur Schuster demonstrated how they could be bent by applying different voltage to these plates at once end.

Under high voltage conditions, electrons emitted by the cathode accelerate towards near the speed of light, emitting electrons which then strike atoms on the walls of the tube and knock out of their orbital energy levels, producing light as they do so – this process is known as cathodoluminescence.

Diagnostic X-rays produced today primarily use bremsstrahlung technology, created through interaction of high-energy electrons with atomic nuclei of tungsten. Unfortunately, however, energy conversion efficiency for this method only stands at approximately 0.5% (assuming 100% power absorption). As such, it often results in partial volume artefacts and poor delineation of small arteries; hence the reason medical X-ray tubes now often incorporate sintered rotating anode bodies to limit radiation dose.

All throughout the show we see how these individuals use CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) technology to change their DNA. CRISPR works like a molecular scalpel by cutting and replacing genes in DNA strands – it has revolutionized genetic research.

The show also investigates potential downsides associated with technological advancement. Many of those featured have strong opinions regarding what should and shouldn’t be done with technology; for example, one individual trying to perform DIY human genome editing in his garage raised significant ethical considerations that I found valid.

Couples using CRISPR to attempt to create their own embryos also have raised major ethical concerns over the process, even going as far as filing a lawsuit against scientists they allege are trying to take advantage of them.

Kevin Esvelt is an evolutionary engineer working to assist a New Zealand town deal with an outbreak of invasive rodent species that are decimating native bird populations. To this end, he hopes genetic engineering could create something known as gene drive, whereby these rodents spread a specific set of genes through natural selection, thus protecting native bird populations while simultaneously fighting climate change.

What is the series about?

Unnatural Selection, a six-episode limited series, follows biohackers, scientists, doctors, patients, conservationists and conservationists as they attempt to alter the future of humanity through illegal genetic experimentation – leading viewers into an intoxicating world filled with profound ethical dilemmas that come with such endeavors.

Director Joe Egender and writer Leeor Kauffman chronicle the hacker scientists experimenting with gene editing to change our world for good – from disease eradication to trait selection and designer babies, these scientists seek control over evolution itself by altering genetic code directly.

Josiah Zayner is one of the central characters, an unconventional biohacker who has brought DIY gene editing kits to market (yes, everyone). He claims he successfully edited his own DNA using CRISPR and created an increase in muscle growth gene. Furthermore, he openly advocates using technology such as CRISPR to reshape human genome and injects himself publicly with modified DNA in an effort to increase strength.

Mia, a college freshman at Freiburg University who becomes involved with illicit genetic research after seeking revenge for the death of her brother. After meeting brilliant biologist Jasper and brooding roommate Niklas involved with illegal experiments, she must decide if she is willing to sacrifice her morality for these new friends’ good intentions. With Traywick as their leader at Ascendance Biomedical she works at home on an HIV cure using Crispr while realizing they may not necessarily be doing it with altruistic intentions in mind and begins losing faith with their altruistic ambitions as partners become less altruistic over time.

What are the main characters?

The story takes place in Freiburg, Germany: an adorable college town that houses an innovative university that is on the cutting-edge of genetic research. At Freiburg’s university campus is where Mia, an early career medical student, discovers revolutionary biohacking technology after meeting biology majors Jasper and Niklas; later learning of their connection with one genius scientist with ulterior motives (Niklas).

As the series unfolds, we see that biohacking isn’t simply used to increase performance or health – it can also serve as a form of social control. One character uses CRISPR-Cas9 to create glowing mice as well as, more alarmingly, human clones; genetic engineering of young girls to look exactly like their mothers can be terrifying enough; what makes it truly frightening are scientists creating people that never age!

This series is entertaining, fast-paced and thought provoking as you consider its implications for society and business. Light on sci fi and heavy on mystery elements with some comic relief provided by Mia and her roommates who all enthusiastic biohackers.

They have petri dishes in their fridge and DIY genome-edited mushrooms in their pasta, not to mention payment microchips in their hands – it’s hard to say how much of this is based in reality and how much is sci-fi goofiness, but all are having lots of fun.

Luna Wedler and Jessica Schwarz make a compelling duo of lead characters. Luna’s quest for revenge against Professor Tanja Lorenz and her lab is what drives the plot forward. Smartlab Architects was brought in to ensure that both modern labs as well as DIY biohacker spaces looked authentic, while still meeting all necessary specifications of the series.

What is the conclusion?

Biohackers are individuals who experiment with their body in order to maximize its performance and reach peak fitness. Similar to tuning a car for maximum speed and handling performance, biohacking involves taking risks with both speed and handling performance that should not be taken lightly; but for anyone wanting to better themselves then investing time and energy in this endeavor may well be worthwhile.

This Netflix series is an intriguing fictional thriller that puts synthetic biology at its core. The series centers around an ambitious pharmaceutical executive, two young medical students and an assortment of stereotypical biohackers as they push scientific boundaries forward – providing a fast-paced technothriller with plenty of thrills and turns!

This show is both well-acted and compelling, not being afraid to tackle difficult topics such as sex, gender and relationships with an openness that’s refreshing. Production values are high and its soundtrack fantastic; its characters easy to connect with while its mysteries well developed; my only real criticism would be its frequent forays into sci-fi territory and biohacker community not depicted more vividly than it could.

CRISPR should not be treated as a miracle cure, but should instead be seen as a tool that requires further development and testing before being applied for human therapy use.

Biohackers in this show are depicted as anti-establishment rebels. They advocate that when scientists make significant breakthroughs they should be available to everyone instead of only the wealthy few – despite what it might sound like this would lead to further social inequality and would also be unfair for doctors, embryologists and geneticists working hard at helping more people conceive healthy babies using assisted reproductive technology (ART).
