Installation
The D8212 provides numerous programmable features. To better understand them, refer to the Program Entry Guide (74-0691 5-000).
Default debounce counts are 2. This value may be altered using the AUX command.
In the absence of specific instructions from an Authority having jurisdiction, eight off-board points constitute the maximum allowable.
POPIT modules are small and straightforward to install into standard outlet boxes, above false ceilings or closets. Simply connect two-wire sensor loop and an end-of-line resistor of 33k to D8125 module for instantaneous feedback.
For optimal signal reflection and crosstalk prevention between adjacent points, ensure the length of your sensor loop is as short as possible and route its wiring away from AC conductors such as those found within panels and transformers.
Connect a POPIT to the D8212 by setting its switches as described here and connecting its power and auxiliary terminals with appropriate wiring or devices.
