Radionics systems utilizing keypads without Command bars or CMD buttons require these steps in order to access keypad functions on these panels.
Arming: Press 9 key once to arm system All On (perimeter and interior protection activated, exit delay in effect), while press again for Part On without either exit or entry delays.
Arming
Radionics systems such as the 8112 used standard “Commands” to perform arming, disarming, programming functions and alarm/panic operations. For older keypads this was accomplished using an easy code format that was universal across models – making learning these commands simple for customers and installers alike.
Command 7 — Switches Watch Mode on or off. It also activates all zone lights on keypads and when arming, sets a timer that sounds an audible short or long beep whenever any perimeter zones become disarmed, helping you locate which zone caused an alarm – though this feature can be disabled via panel programming.
Command 9 — Arms All On (perimeter and interior protection activated), with exit and entry delay set into effect. This setting is recommended as the default setting for most homes and is the only way to arm your system without entering your code.
Command 10 — Arms Part On with no exit/entry delays in place, making this setting appropriate for most families and enabling the owner to arm the system when away. This setting also makes sure their alarm goes off properly when arriving home!
Command 11 – Resets smoke detectors on fire alarm portion of systems featuring fire monitoring (not all Radionics systems have this). This command momentarily cuts power to 2-wire smoke detector loop and resets any tripped detectors; for more information about this function please refer to your system User Manual for specific instructions for your model.
