Welz Orgonite
As well as the RAD 5 heavy-duty chi generator, this kit contains two Super-Orgonite(r) transfer couples which can serve as structural links in various scenarios. They can transfer energy between you and the RAD 5, or be attached to key rings so you stay in tune with your life force (chi).
Orgonite draws its inspiration from Wilhelm Reich’s research on orgone energy. Reich proposed that an invisible yet universal positive force pervades all matter and could be harnessed to promote health and well-being; creating devices called orgone accumulators to collect and channel it for maximum effectiveness; his theories were highly controversial at the time. Later, Karl Welz, an engineer and student of Reich’s work refined these accumulators further by suspending metal particles in resin to make an aesthetically pleasing form, dubbing his creation “orgone generator,” “chi generator,” or “prana generator”.
Orgonite is a material composed of resin, metals and quartz crystals mixed together. When added to electrical circuits with quartz cores, orgonite serves to redirect energy flow in such a way as to transform negative into positive energy flow. A popular mix is roughly 50/50 metal to resin ratio – however other recipes exist as well as coils added directly onto orgonite for specific uses such as detox or chembuster devices.
Redirected energies are then directed by the chi generated within or within its software to form thought forms (also known as trend links), such as hair or photographs or complex archetypal symbols or numeric radionic rates. When used with radionics machines, their software automatically optimizes these trend links, feeding them with powerful Chi energy for successful operations.
Sinclair Calculator
Clive Sinclair was a British electronics mastermind famous for creating ground-breaking micro radios and audio equipment. In 1972 he sent shockwaves through the world by unveiling his groundbreaking Sinclair Executive calculator with only 9mm (0.4″) thickness which ran on button cells; it would become his flagship model among an innovative series of sleek calculators that followed.
Small size was achieved through “calculator-on-a-chip” electronics, featuring tiny buttons with copper alloy fingers on their circuit boards, as well as slide switches using contacts on that same circuit board. An innovative power saving method used was to use a standard LED display but only turn it on briefly when pressing keypad. This reduced consumption from 350 milliwatts down to only 20 milliwatts!
These features, combined with small LED digits and a minimal keyboard design made it one of the slimmest calculators on the market at that time. It was an instantaneous hit and led to several follow-on models being produced later.
Sinclair Scientific was one of the thinnest LED calculators until more modern and functional Casio FX-700 became available a couple years later. However, its elegance and sophistication remain timeless; while larger than Cambridge calculators from earlier decades but retaining their sleek designs. Even after four decades it still looks fantastic today.
Current the best way to access one of these calculators is through online vintage electronics shops such as Ebay or Amazon, where assembled and tested calculators can be purchased at prices between PS25-150 depending on condition and features. Kits to assemble them yourself may also be available from some specialists; with enough skill and tools it should not be difficult.
These calculators feature two halves of plastic casing which are glued together, making it impossible to disassemble without damaging their case. However, it is still possible to see their circuit boards by carefully unplugging battery terminals and peering through gaps. A photo from Sinclair Executive casing type 1 and keyboard type 2 shows its typical internal layout; using GIM C550 integrated circuit and display from Bowmar featuring small LED digits with lenses array. Furthermore, this version used four button cells rather than three as in earlier models.
