Commands For Radionics Panels and Keypads

radionics 4112

Features

Radionics alarm systems, now manufactured under Bosch Security Systems brand name, have utilized a set of commands that have long been utilized by Radionics alarm systems to control how the system is armed and disarmed, program functions, and other features. These commands remain consistent across many panels and keypads making them simple for customers (and installers alike) to learn and comprehend.

Turn on and off watch mode to enable it. This feature causes keypads and panels to emit either short or long beeps when any perimeter zone fails, and also transmits fire alarm signals directly to central stations when reporting home alarm monitoring services.

Rejuvenate your whole body & balance your health without medications - now remotely!

Displays all messages sent by the computer to their recipient. This command can help troubleshoot communication issues with central station automation software.

This command resets the smoke detector loop by temporarily cutting power to 2-wire smoke detector circuit and restoring tripped sensors to normal operation. This command can be especially helpful in residential homes without access to an arm/disarm code to reset tripped smoke detectors.

Enter this command to display the initial entry in the trouble event buffer of 6112 and related alarm systems. This information may help the installer quickly determine what problem is triggering their alarm to sound repeatedly, and which trouble condition needs immediate attention.

Functions

Some older Radionics panels and keypads employed a series of “command” functions for common tasks. These commands could be used to acknowledge a trouble condition or silence a beeping keypad; Command 4 alone will stop an 8112 from beeping (Terminal 1 being at the far left bottom on Vista panels and far upper left corner in D4112/D6112 systems); Command 40 will display one of up to four potential trouble conditions in its buffer on compatible systems like D6112.

Troubleshooting

Radionics panels (and keypads) for years utilized a standard format of digits to perform various functions, from arming and disarming systems, programming functions, panic alarms and panic alarms, to acknowledging trouble conditions (beeping keypad) and silence them to additional diagnostic functions depending on model (Call 4 by itself acknowledges beeping keypad) and silences it – for instance on 6112 systems Command 4 plus 4 can display up to four trouble events in its trouble event buffer).

Maintenance

Radionics alarm systems have long employed a standardized format for system commands, including panels and keypads such as the 8112, D6112, D4112, D1252, D1255 etc. These commands controlled how the system was armed or disarmed as well as programming functions or maintenance capabilities.

00 – LINE FAULT (delays 08 to 99 sec) – Triggering the line fault light and sending its message directly to printer and computer (it can also be programmed to disable message display).

Reset of SMOKE DETECTOR (for Fire/Burglary alarm systems with police monitoring). Momentarily stops power to the 2-wire smoke detector loop to reset any tripped alarms.
