Equine Alternative Therapies

Equine alternative therapies provide a holistic solution for common health issues. Practitioners utilize methods like acupuncture, chiropractic care and massage therapy to address symptoms rather than just their surface causes.

These treatments may help ease pain and prevent injuries, allowing horses to get back into training more quickly. Furthermore, they can supplement traditional medicinal therapies.

Acupuncture

Equine acupuncture is an established form of treatment used in modern veterinary practices to address various conditions, from pain management and digestive troubles to neurological concerns and performance enhancement. Equine acupuncture offers many potential uses. It may help provide pain relief, reduce intestinal upsets and keep performance horses at peak condition.

Equine Acupuncture, an ancient Eastern Medicine therapy, involves inserting single-use needles into certain points on an animal’s body in order to stimulate healing. While it may seem counterintuitive to use needles on an animal, Equine Acupuncture is very safe and effective, often leading to minimal side effects like pain, bruising or bleeding at the site of needle insertion; however single use needles reduce this risk significantly.

Acupuncture is founded on the theory that vital energy flows along specific channels known as meridians, which may become blocked or unbalanced due to illness, contributing to disease. Acupuncture works to clear these obstructions and restore natural flow of energy within the system – this holistic therapy should not replace Western veterinary care but instead complement it.

An experienced practitioner will carefully assess your horse’s individual situation and develop a customized treatment plan, such as conducting a lameness exam or other diagnostic tests. Next, an acupuncturist will carefully insert ultra-thin needles into specific points such as neck/shoulders/legs. Some practitioners also employ electric stimulation for enhanced therapeutic effects and pain relief. Acupuncture is beneficial for horses of all ages from foals to seniors, particularly for muscle soreness/backpain/arthritis issues as well as gastro issues like colic/gut issues/coachment issues/colitis/colic.

Chiropractic

Equine owners are increasingly acknowledging the value of holistic treatments as part of preventive care to address minor abnormalities and head off further health concerns. By choosing holistic remedies, horse owners can avoid potentially costly vet bills in the future.

Complementary treatments include acupuncture, chiropractic and massage modalities which may supplement or replace traditional medical therapies when they have proven ineffective. While they should always be used as supplements rather than replacements, studies have demonstrated their ability to speed up recovery time significantly.

Chiropractic involves manipulating joints to address imbalances and restore proper alignment while relieving pain and promoting healing. Horses often respond well to this form of therapy and its results can last.

This technique applies pressure to acupoints to stimulate the body’s natural pain-relieving chemicals and manage muscle soreness, relax joints, and facilitate joint movement.

Acupressure is similar to acupuncture but without needles. Practitioners use their hands to gently press acupoints that are beneficial for different health conditions and provide relaxation therapy that reduces anxiety while simultaneously encouraging healing. Horses usually enjoy this relaxing treatment that promotes relaxation.

Specialized taping treatments are used to address specific conditions, such as lameness and balance issues. When applied over certain areas of the body, trained practitioners determine how much to stretch and shape the tape based on what problem needs addressing. It typically remains in place for three to five days before being reapplied once recoil occurs – it’s crucial that experienced practitioners handle application of this treatment as improper application could result in less-than-effective results or may even worsen existing issues.

Massage

Massage techniques designed specifically to benefit horses can promote increased blood circulation, increasing oxygen and nutrient delivery to muscles and tissues while relieving tension-based muscle spasms and pain.

Massage has an immense psychological benefit on horses by helping reduce cortisol levels in their saliva – a clear indicator of stress – helping maintain a healthier physiological state, especially during competing or training hard.

Myofascial release involves massaging connective tissue to break up adhesions that lead to pain and inhibit mobility in horses, while other methods include myositology taping, magnets (such as Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy) or natural solutions such as herbs. Myofascial release may be used either as an immediate short-term fix or part of an overall long-term strategy plan – depending on what’s ailing the horse.

Alternative therapies provide one of the great benefits of alternative medicine: they can identify problems that might not be apparent during traditional veterinary examination. For example, if a horse exhibits unusual behaviors like dragging its feet or stiffness in one side, these therapies provide another layer of assessment to discover the root cause.

Therapeutic horsemanship and hippotherapy offer another key benefit – teaching people and horses how to work together effectively. Therapeutic horsemanship programs such as therapeutic horsemanship or hippotherapy are particularly helpful for those suffering from cerebral palsy or traumatic brain injuries, usually taking a hands-on approach when working with horses, such as grooming or leading. Furthermore, interactions between people and horses help develop self-esteem and confidence within both parties involved.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicines administered by qualified herbalists or holistic veterinarians offer another means for horse owners to enhance the quality of life for their horses. When used alongside proper diet, exercise regiment and veterinary attention they offer an all-natural solution for many ailments and injuries.

Herbs may be provided as either free choice supplements or included as part of the daily feed mix for horses. Many traditional herbs have long been included as part of equine culture and legend, including being mentioned in such ancient medical records as Kahun Papyrus.

Dandelion herb, for instance, is well known as a mild diuretic while others like devil’s claw have anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties. Arnica may help treat bruises while turmeric has antioxidant benefits.

Other herbs like chamomile have soothing and relaxing qualities while others such as echinacea can act to stimulate immunity. Herbs may be offered in various forms: teas, tinctures, pellets or liquid drops with liquid drops being particularly convenient ways of supplementing daily feed.

Tinctures can be made by mixing 5 grams of roots, barks, seeds or leaves into 250ml of water and then boiling and steeping for 3 minutes before cooling before straining and adding it to daily feed. Herbal oils may also be beneficial; massaged into skin or applied topically as rinse for minor wounds can speed healing times; lavender oil in particular has long been used to soothe sunburns as well as minor cuts, scrapes or insect bites.

Nutritional Counseling

If a horse is underperforming or showing signs of discomfort, alternative therapies offer a holistic solution for addressing its cause. When used together with traditional medical approaches and vet care, these approaches can speed healing time while improving overall quality of life for horses.

Prevention is always better than cure when it comes to equine health care, as addressing issues before they become serious saves both time and money by avoiding more invasive or expensive treatments later on. Complementary therapies have become an integral component of equine preventive care alongside regular veterinary visits and exercise regimes.

Acupuncture, chiropractic and massage therapies have gained popularity in sport horse barns as complementary approaches–not replacements–of traditional medicinal treatment. Furthermore, complementary techniques may also be utilized for chronic equine health conditions that traditional medicines cannot effectively address; senior horses in particular often experience back pain from internal wear and tear of joints and ligaments as they age; when this happens complementary techniques can be especially beneficial, especially in field settings where thorough diagnosis and invasive therapy are not practical options.

As is true with humans, equine care should always be undertaken by professionals holding a valid veterinary license. Non-vet practitioners may lack the expertise needed to tailor treatments specifically to your horse’s individual needs, and could face legal consequences if their procedures prove ineffective or even harmful. Furthermore, professionals have access to alternative therapies which may not otherwise be accessible; thus providing your horse with a comprehensive plan for its recovery and wellbeing.

Natural Healer Signs

If nature makes you feel at home and provides healing energy, you could be showing signs of its healing energy. Perhaps vivid dreams or an ability to connect with unseen forces is also part of this equation.

Your energy senses and feelings of those around you are highly attuned; people often confide in you with their most intimate secrets. People trust in your abilities and feel safe around you.

1. You’re a natural empath

Empaths have an extraordinary sensitivity to energy, which allows them to feel other people’s emotions and physical ailments as if they were their own. Though empathizing can be a gift, it can also be emotionally draining; giving freely of time and resources can leave one exhausted and resentful. Your intuitive abilities also enable you to spot when someone is lying or being dishonest with you.

Are You an Earth Empath? Your connection to Mother Earth runs deep, as evidenced by feeling every weather change as if it were happening directly to you – making you an Earth Empath and it is crucial that we honor and respect her healing gifts!

Nature can help restore our energy on a daily basis, whether that means spending time in the wilderness, at a beach, or hot springs. You might feel fatigued from spending too much time in bustling cities; taking steps to protect your energy and center yourself can help. Mindfulness practices may also provide support; finding positive people to support you may help too – or perhaps trying Earth medicine such as herbs and crystals could provide even greater healing effects!

2. You’re a natural healer

Healers possess an infectious energy that uplifts those around them, instantly elevating any room you enter and instantly making people feel better in your presence. You may find yourself drawn towards professions that help others like nursing, teaching or counseling – this is no coincidence; your healing energy needs a purpose!

Are You Connected with Nature & See Life as Sacred? Do You Tune Into Mountain Energy, Ocean Currents & River Currents? As someone with strong connections to both seen and unseen realms, your vision provides a bridge for translation between both sides.

Your intuition is extremely strong and you are able to receive guidance from your higher self in the form of dreams or visions. You have an intimate spiritual connection to the moon, stars and universe, along with all five elements; furthermore you may frequently experience astral travel or vivid dreams that contain numbers, symbols or messages which become clear later.

Your family history of healing may play an integral part in your development as an healer; perhaps one or both parents or siblings work as healers or are physicians or therapists themselves, or maybe you even recall having past-life memories wherein being a healer was part of who they were? Maybe your interest lies more with esoteric topics and practices such as crystal healing, meditation and sound therapy as opposed to just mainstream treatments like medicine alone. You have also likely experienced experiences of “a-ha!” moments in which something intuitively knew was there that seemed outright understood – maybe even remembered being healers in another lifetime?

3. You’re a natural artist

Healers often experience an irresistible urge to express themselves creatively through art, music or other creative forms – in fact, your art could even serve as medicine! If you possess natural gifts in visual, aural/kinesthetic expression, composition and creativity – or possess a powerful intuition for these aspects – this could be a telltale sign that you’re an intuitive healer. Additionally, healers often have artistic dreams with astral travel or lucid dreaming occurring regularly during sleep. As a sacred rebel, you may receive spiritual downloads in the form of numbers or symbols which later make sense to you. Your work as a bridge between worlds may sometimes feel unconventional; don’t be concerned if others perceive you as eccentric! Simply trust yourself to access your intuition!

4. You’re a natural healer in nature

Your connection with the moon, stars, and universe gives you strength. Nature feels most at home for you; life can feel sacred for you. Your energy shifts with each Full or New Moon cycle as your energies become more energised or relaxed at other times.

Are You Curious about Healing Practices and Feel Drawn Toward Them? (No doubt this statement applies to most everyone!). Perhaps intuitive information has come your way about someone or an incident others cannot see, or you have recollections from past lives in which you healed others.)

People and animals feel attracted to you, finding comfort in your presence. Even when you’re silent, they sense your healing aura and vibrations – while you’re also able to recognize subtle shifts or light sources around other people.

Healers may experience astral travel and lucid dreams that include spiritual guidance and healing from other lifetimes, an indicator that their healing powers have returned in this one.

5. You’re a natural healer with animals

Animals and people of all ages find comfort in you, because your compassion has a powerful calming influence. Because of this, people often call you a sacred rebel; your actions often defy social rules because you recognize people’s attempts at self-enclosure and wish to help break them free.

Your healing energy may not always reveal itself in an obvious form, but it will often take shape in some way. That could include acting as a healer, teacher, writer or chef with an organic restaurant. Whichever field of healing you pursue it’s essential that you receive adequate training; whether that means learning appropriate techniques from an experienced healer through apprenticeship or mentorship arrangements or simply communicating telepathically with animals through training methods like animal communication or massage therapy or herbal remedies – among many others.

6. You’re a natural healer with people

Your soul is nudging you to use this gift in service of others if you have the ability to intuitively sense when others are out of sync or have unresolved energy. Additionally, you have an innate ear for listening to the body; often picking up symptoms like unexplained fatigue or tension. In addition, your interest lies with esoteric subjects as well as healing practices aligned with universal vibrational energy; perhaps there have been spiritually guided experiences or life-altering trauma that led you down this path of discovery and awakening.

Trust naturally arises between you and others, and your presence can even bring joy to strangers. Your healing abilities manifest themselves in numerous forms: seeing auras and vibrations around people; picking up on emotions in animals and children as well. Creative outlets provide yet another expression of your healing powers: visual art or music could even be your forte!

Your energy connects you deeply to nature and the elements, including the moon and stars. You may notice your energy shifting around Full and New Moon periods or that certain places seem especially energetic for you like forests or beaches; or perhaps astral travel or dream sequences with numbers and symbols which later make sense can happen; Healers often experience these things and it can both benefit them and present challenges.

Remote Qigong Energy Healing

Distance energy healing is an incredible practice that transcends time and space. Just like listening to an upbeat radio song can instantly lift your spirits, energy healers transmit healing vibes across long distances.

An experienced healer will prepare themselves in a calm environment before setting their intention of connecting with you and clearing their energies.

How it works

Qigong energy healing is an ancient Chinese form of vibrational transmission used to help people heal themselves through vibrational transmission. Its benefits are immense and it has been successfully utilized for various health issues such as pain relief, depression reduction, insomnia relief, anxiety relief and cancer treatments (see 10 Key Coronavirus Symptoms for more). Furthermore, this approach may help reduce coronavirus symptoms. Combined with other therapies it makes for a powerful therapeutic combination.

Energy healing is a holistic practice for relieving blockages and restoring balance on all levels, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. It works on all three fronts to promote healing on every front; physical, emotional and spiritual alike. Energy is intelligently channeled towards areas in a person’s body where healing needs to occur as well as any negative patterns which contribute to their condition.

Remote sessions enable both parties to synchronize their energy flows and align their intentions, with visualization techniques used by the healer connecting with receiver’s energy field. At the conclusion of each session both parties take time to center themselves using techniques such as breathing exercises or visualisation; this ensures energy doesn’t dissipate too quickly or become lost.

Many people possess natural healing skills; others need to develop them through spiritual or metaphysical practices. Some healers specialize in distant energy healing to perfect this skill and further their skillset.

All forms of energy exist within our universe – air, water, trees, rocks, animals and humans alike – connected in some way. A qigong healer can send healing energy directly to anyone regardless of distance and place.

Master Lin demonstrates in this QiTalk how he can detect energy blockages remotely and heal people without physical contact; remote healing sessions are just as effective. Energy is sent via vibrational frequency to reach receiver’s energy field and its intelligence allows it to locate any blockages that exist within.

Symptoms

Qigong Energy Healing is a spiritual practice designed to restore balance to both mind and body in order for their innate healing power of the body to take over and bring good health and well-being to all those it touches. Michael works to facilitate the healing energy so individuals can do their own healing; each person heals themselves; he only acts as conduit of energy flow.

Energy healers believe that when working with energy, time and space don’t matter; as such, many offer their services remotely through online communication; this practice is known as remote qigong energy healing or distant qigong energy healing.

During a session, receivers may experience unusual bodily sensations known as Qi sensations. These sensations may include warmth, tingling, pulsing vibration electrical or itching sensations – some can describe these experiences as feeling “purified”. These sensations should not be harmful as they indicate that energy is flowing freely through blocked areas.

Some individuals also report feeling deeply relaxed and free, as energy healing helps release any energy blocks impedeing their bodies.

Jan has assisted numerous people suffering from COVID-19 symptoms, especially those in their late stages, to experience significant improvements as they received healing treatments. Click here for more information on how healing may benefit you.

Te Yi Medical Qigong (commonly referred to as Heavenly Essence Qigong) is a type of Qigong practice derived from ancient Chinese life-preservation systems and designed for energy practice and healing. While not diagnosing or treating illnesses directly, its unique Qi Assessment and Regulation techniques help facilitate healing while strengthening other therapeutic interventions.

Benefits

Qigong can provide relief for many common health ailments, including pain, stress, insomnia and depression. Furthermore, it can enhance both physical and mental well-being as well as boost immune functions – it has helped thousands overcome severe health problems through this ancient healing method. If you want to experience Qigong energy healing for yourself there are various methods available – either through learning it directly with an experienced teacher or online courses which teach different forms.

One of the most widely utilized applications of Qigong is through remote or distance healing sessions, in which practitioners send healing energy directly to clients without direct physical or verbal contact – this approach to care is used by acupuncturists, massage therapists and naturopaths alike.

Distance healing has been demonstrated to be just as effective as in-person qigong energy healing, with many studies published in scientific journals documenting its success. Energy has no physical limits; so whether practitioner and client are present or not, their healing processes remain the same.

Qigong can do much more than relieve stress and improve your mood; it’s an effective way to sleep better, strengthen immunity, increase focus and concentration and even decrease dementia symptoms and Alzheimer’s. It can even reduce risks like heart disease, stroke and diabetes for overall improvement of health and productivity!

If you’re curious about experiencing Qigong healing sessions, reach out to local energy healers or look online at SoulAdvisor’s list of qualified energy healers; this may provide the solution that’s right for you – from pain management services to Akashic Records readings.

Cost

If you have a specific health concern that needs addressing and would rather receive guidance and healing via external Qi therapy in private sessions over phone/Zoom rather than group classes, one-on-one phone/Zoom sessions with our experienced practitioner could be your ideal option. These sessions also come equipped with general astrological readings for additional insight & advice.

Qigong energy healing, also known as medical qigong, is an ancient alternative healing system developed centuries ago in China to alleviate pain and illness. It works by channeling healing energy towards the body to restore balance and harmony by channeling healing energy towards it.

Distance energy healing sessions can help address multiple health concerns simultaneously and restore physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Monthly healing sessions cost only $99. This also includes Energetic Feng Shui for free!

Airway Clearance Therapy With a Vibrating Vest

High frequency chest wall oscillation (HFCWO) is an established airway clearance therapy, proven to improve lung function, reduce chest infections and antibiotic use, as well as hospital admissions, while also being covered by insurance companies.

The vest uses vibrations at various frequencies and intensities to loosen and thin mucus, separate it from lung walls, and move it into upper airways where it can be coughed out or suctioned away for coughing or suctioning. Sessions usually last 20-30 minutes.

Mucus Loosening

A vibrating vest uses a generator to deliver rapid air pulses into its vibrational fabric, creating vibrations that loosen mucus deep within your lungs and make it easier for expectoration, or coughing out, mucus to occur.

Breaking up sputum, which is a thick liquid, helps reduce inflammation and toxicity and ultimately enhance lung function over time. Treatment also results in less coughing and shortness of breath as well as less infections, antibiotic usage, hospital admissions and exacerbations.

HFCWO device’s additional benefit lies in its capacity to assist autogenic drainage, an essential breathing technique for those suffering from bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis and other chronic lung conditions. Autogenic drainage comprises three stages of mucus clearance that begin by loosening it from airway walls before moving the loose mucus from smaller to larger airways and finally expulsion from the lungs.

Noninvasive approaches include using an ET tube or tracheostomy tube for intubation or noninvasive methods like using a mouthpiece and mask, with noninvasive options like threshold positive expiratory pressure (PEP) being the more popular and self-administered methods such as oscillatory PEP; handheld devices equipped with one-way valves and resistances generate positive pressure during exhalation as well as oscillations to mobilize mucus for expectoration – these devices include AffloVest and Quake devices which CF care teams provide and most insurance plans offer coverage.

Postural Drainage

Chest physiotherapy techniques are used to clear sticky mucus from your airways. This therapy employs various positions designed to mobilize and transport mucus more easily for coughing up. Which position you select will depend on which areas of your lung require drainage; following an evaluation by a respiratory therapist, they’ll give instructions as to which positions and for how long.

Postural drainage is a positioning technique which uses gravity to drain excess pulmonary secretions from your lungs and airways, helping reduce inflammation, improve lung function, and enhance quality of life. Postural drainage can be performed either alone or combined with chest percussion or vibration therapy to achieve maximum effectiveness. While it is best performed while lying on a bed, you can also do it on the floor or recliner; just ensure there’s enough space between each position.

Chest percussion or vibration therapy is another effective way to clear mucus out of the lungs without using a vest, and involves clapping chest and back while performing breathing exercises. This process typically lasts 30-40 minutes per session and should be done twice daily at least. For added benefit, controlled coughing involves taking deep breaths while forcing mucus out.

Some individuals living with cystic fibrosis must use additional forms of airway clearance therapy – beyond manual chest clapping – such as high-frequency chest wall oscillation vests (HFCWOs). HFCWOs can help loosen any sticky phlegm that accumulates within your lungs or airways and are an ideal option for those lacking mobility or strength to perform manual chest percussion or other forms of airway clearance therapy themselves.

Vests that treat an illness or injury such as cystic fibrosis typically fall under the purview of insurance, though you’ll require a doctor’s prescription in order to get one. Be sure to discuss with your insurer what coverage there may be before ordering one; some people may qualify for Social Security disability payments or Medicare before turning 65 and receive one through these programs as well.

Rhythmic Pressure

Pulsations create pressure similar to clapping on the chest wall, breaking up mucus stuck in smaller airways of the lungs and opening them up to promote coughing and get thickened mucus out of them. HFCWO devices are commonly used by those living with bronchiectasis to help clear their lungs of thickened mucus while providing vital oxygen for breathing. Rhythmic Pressure Entrainment Pressure Therapy, more commonly referred to as oscillatory PEP therapy can be performed either along with postural drainage or as stand-alone therapy treatment options.

HFCWO devices are worn over clothing and linked to an electronic generator, which when activated produces rapid air pulses that cause oscillations within the lungs. This air pulse can either be delivered invasively via an endotracheal tube (ETT) or tracheostomy tube or noninvasively through a mouthpiece/mask interface.

Oscillations not only facilitate airway clearance therapy, but can also increase treatment adherence through mobility. The AffloVest is a mobile high frequency chest wall oscillation vest designed to maximize patient adherence and mobility during use of treatment. Equipped with eight anatomically placed motors producing individual pressure waveforms to loosen, thin, mobilize secretions in your lungs – mimicking manual chest physical therapy while making use easy and enjoyable – AffloVest makes using treatment comfortable for patients allowing users to follow an effective therapy protocol without difficulty or difficulty using manual physical therapy sessions in most situations compared with manual physical therapy sessions in terms of ease of use by mimicry compared with manual physical therapy making use effortless for patients themselves!

Based on your CF diagnosis, you may qualify to receive a vibrating vest device through your healthcare team. While they are usually covered by insurance plans, in order to order one you’ll require a valid prescription from a physician. Need help understanding insurance? Safety

Patients living with bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis and other neurologic and neuromuscular conditions have reduced abilities to actively clear secretions from their lungs. Airway clearance therapy (ACT), such as chest physiotherapy with manual percussion and vibration treatments are often recommended to loosen and mobilize lung secretions.

The AffloVest is an FDA-cleared device that uses high-frequency chest wall oscillation to promote pulmonary rehabilitation and increase patient mobility, increasing patient adherence by increasing mobility. It’s portable, battery-powered, wireless device features seven custom size variations from XXS-XXL as well as adjustable shoulder and chest straps for greater treatment compliance.
