# Fire Alarm Annunciator Keypad

## Durable Red Housing

 The fire alarm annunciator keypad is engineered for dependable performance and provides essential user interface functions for system reset, silence, navigation and more. Its rugged, durable red housing ensures visibility and operation in emergency situations. Dedicated one-touch keys speed command execution and minimize operator error. Four-Wire Serial Communication ensures stable and accurate command execution.

 The PC4010 can be fully programmed from the keypad using commands in the [*][8] section of the programming manual. The installer’s mode is enabled by using the [*][5] command. This mode will allow the installation technician to program all of the partitions and zones on the panel from the keypad, and it is recommended that this be done after the system has been installed and commissioned.

 Once the partitions, expansion modules and separately controlled systems (partitions) have been determined, determine the number of keypads required, their locations and the number of users that will be assigned to each partition. It is also a good time to program the System Master Code and the Supervisory Codes (see “System Toggle Options” in the Programming Manual).

The [][>] keys may be used to scroll through the access code list, and the [*] key is used to select a code for programming.

 During an alarm, the keypad will display the “Alarm Silence in Progress” message. When the correct keycode is entered, the zone(s) will be disabled and a “Secure System Before Arming” message will appear on the display. If the force armable zone option is programmed, this message will also indicate that a force armable zone is open.

 The trouble LED on the keypad will activate for all troubles, even those that only belong to a single partition. The keypads may be loaned to a specific partition by entering a valid access code, and then the user can enter [*][2] to view the trouble if it belongs to their partition. It is recommended that this feature be programmed to allow the audible entry delay to be enunciated on global keypads, as this will give users a warning that the fire zone they are entering is active and could cause an alarm.
