# Radionics 9112 User Manual

The D9112 performs a series of self diagnostic tests at start-up and reset. The buzzer sounds during these tests, which take about ten seconds to complete. The D9112 displays a System Trouble message at command centers if any tests fail.

 The D9112 supports up to six POPIT modules (point of protection input transponder). Each POPIT has a point number and can be programmed with various switch settings.

 

## Functions

 The D9112 Control/Communicator is UL Listed for Central Station, Local, Police Connect and Household fire alarms, as well as Grade A Burglar alarm systems. The panel also is UL Listed for Department of Defense installations in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).

Each area can have its own set of points, including supervised keypads, auxiliary power outlets and detectors. The D9112 stores events and event modifiers in its event log. You can program the log for a number of different types of events, such as alarms, alarm history and user code changes. The event log also records any unauthorized arming attempts.

 There are four auxiliary power outlets that can provide up to 1400 mA of current to connected devices, such as a telephone interface or a parallel printer. Each auxiliary outlet has a LED that indicates when its circuit is active and when it is powered off. There are four phone lines that can be assigned as primary, backup or duplicates. The system is programmed to call these numbers automatically in the event of an alarm or trouble condition. The D9112 also has a master arm/disarm button and a keyswitch-type arming station that can be used to arm or disarm all areas of the system with one keystroke.

 The D128 Module Status LEDs mounted on the front of the D9112 indicate AC power and the status of two incoming phone line connections. The green AC power LED lights when the D9112 has AC power connected to terminals 1 and 2. The blue phone line status LED lights when the D9112 is plugged into an RJ31X phone jack and receiving dial tone.

 A yellow LED on the D9112 flashes once per minute during a battery test. The D9112 also tests the auxiliary power outputs and the standby battery. If the auxiliary power outputs exceed 1.4A or the standby battery draws more than 1900 mA, a D8132 module is required to increase the battery standby capacity.
