Resonant voice therapy is a physiologic approach to treating voice disorders such as muscle tension dysphonia. Patients learn how to feel vibratory sensations on both their faces and mouths while simultaneously producing balanced phonatory airflow.
Beginning with basic training gestures and moving on to voiced and voiceless sounds which can be formed into phrases or conversations through techniques such as humming, resonance shaping and gentle onset, this program progresses.
