A generator could be picking up frequencies not intended by itself if too close proximity between white high voltage wires and plasma tubes and its generator occurs.
Make sure that the cable from the 5v power adapter doesn’t cross over either the generator or high voltage wires, and try to keep it as far from them as possible.
1. The USB connection is loose
Whenever your generator suddenly ceases responding to Spooky2, yet still runs and alters frequencies, there may be a physical problem with its USB connection. Make sure your computer can recognize it by checking Devices and Printers or Windows Device Manager; additionally make sure the CP2102 driver has been correctly installed; otherwise reinstall as necessary if required. If this issue still persists try connecting your generator to a different USB port on the computer or switch out power adapters (usually this solves it) while making sure CP2102 driver properly installed before reaching out contacting us so we can make sure CP2102 driver has been properly installed!
3. The electrical noise is causing the problem
If your generator remains stuck at one frequency even as its settings change in Spooky2 software, this could be indicative of interference from electrical noise. Your metal generator body and wires may pick up frequencies from nearby devices. To minimize interference issues and ensure smooth bends without loops or crossing, ensure your white high voltage wires and plasma tube remain as far apart from each other as possible – or use our filtered USB and BNC filter cables which offer effective interference reduction solutions.
