# Communicating With Your DNA – A Natural Consequence of Wave Genetics

Scientists in Russia have found a way to communicate with our DNA. The method involves irradiating the DNA sample with laser light. The results show that a typical wave pattern is formed, and even after the DNA has been removed, the pattern remains.

 In the flour beetle Tribolium castaneum, a short-germ insect, both pair-rule and gap genes are expressed as dynamic waves (El-Sherif et al., 2021). These waves have either a periodic or non-periodic pattern.
